Shepherd's Pie

Shepherd's Pie
1lb ground lean hamburger
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can Beef Gravy
4 Russet potatoes (peeled and cut in half)
4 oz (1/2 package) cream cheese - softened
Garlic Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
*Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 
*Boil potatoes until tender. 
*While potatoes are cooking, brown hamburger along with onion soup mix and cream of mushroom soup.  Set aside. 
*Drain potatoes, return to pot.  Add cream cheese, garlic salt and pepper to taste.  Blend on low until smooth. 
*Lightly grease bottom and sides of baking dish.  Spread mashed potatoes evenly into bottom of dish. 
*Spread meat mixture on top of potatoes. 
*Spread beef gravy on top of meat.
*Top with shredded cheese. 
*Cover with foil. 
*Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
